Left for Dead 2
One of the games that I have spent the most time playing over the years is left for dead two. I’ve racked up days of gameplay in my steam account and it is one of my favourite games of all time. I think the approach to gameplay is totally unique and when it’s going well. It’s extremely satisfying feeling when it’s going badly losing the lead can be extremely frustrating. Obviously on a game like that, you get punished severely for not having great team player and you get rewarded massively if you have great team of players. I used to play on public servers and still do, but eventually because of the amount of time spent playing i was picked up by a clan and have played some competitive matches the difference between the two is huge, both of fun in their own right, but it’s about co-operation that makes the game successful. I played this game way too much you can read my thoughts on video game addiction in this post.
The undead have to attack at the same time to have a chance of success, and this can be coordinated a lot easier if you’re in a proper clan with voice communication instant kills are very easy to get, especially to playing against lesser experienced players a smoker can be deployed to drag a player into position and then use a charger to ram the player through a window, off a cliff, off a building are into the ocean to get an instant kill. The difficult, especially to new players is knowing where to be at what moment with what un-dead player as each play through, you usually only get one chance in one spot with one undead character, so it takes many, many, many times to understand where to attack and how to be successful. playing as the human players is a lot easier in the way that they are always to do the same thing, which is watch each other’s backs, stick together and move fast. I love the diversity in the game with the different levels and ways to complete each one.
When you’re playing as a survivor the undead can be around any corner and the anticipation of a well-coordinated attack can keep you on edge. If the players are staying together You can use a charger, but the more obvious course of action is to use a boomer to the shoot all four players would be more appropriate. I would say, be cautious with using the boomer first though as it’s very easy to take damage you can be pushed back and blown up without getting a single victim. Most of my attacks would be pre-emptive with a hunter are a charger and then everyone else should attack all at once to be as successful as possible.
Whenever there is was a witch try to utilise it by having your character stand near the witch and entice players to shoot towards you and hopefully hit the witch or user smoker to pull one of the players towards the witch. When you’re new to the game It can be exceedingly difficult, especially while playing as the undead characters as you only get one chance in one location. Playing as the tank you can get things severely wrong by getting desperate to attack the players and taken a lot of damage whilst trying to cover distance. You should be patient while playing the tank throw rocks If you are a distance. Try making that distance ducking in and out of cover and of course, most importantly use cars and trash cans as they are instant incapacitation If they hit a player.
